Angels of May is a large panoramic summer by a river semi-abstract landscape with a herd of deer and a white hart. Cow parsley and other wild flowers are hinted at in the foreground but are blurred as the focus is the deer across the river. One of the deer is a white hart. The style is semi abstract and is made up of lots of layers and some impasto brushwork. It has a lovely summer glow to it and lots of overlapping colours and energy. A small river is hinted at between the flowers. The inspiration for this painting was a group of deer I came across near the river Medway in Sussex recently. One was brilliant white (see photo) I was so happy to see them all I decided to paint them.
Painted on 3D canvas, It is 60x30 inches, edges white, no frame needed, ready to hang. Comes with certificate of authenticity from the artist.
