“Through the Rising Dark” is an ethereal abstract seascape oil painting 50cm x 50cm (20 x 20 inches) on 4cm (1.5 inch) deep canvas.
 
Inspired by looking at the sea at the end of the day when when the daylight is going and the night is coming. 
 
The title is from “The World to Come" by Johnny Flynn and Robert Macfarlane. 
 
It's painted in shades of blue with dark grey and white. The surface of the painting has a satin sheen and the painting continues around the sides of the canvas.
 
It is signed on the back, ready to hang and comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity.
