This is a self-portrait I painted during a lockdown post a break up. "Pull Her Out to See the Colours Again" is the first line of a poem I wrote about it. I had given up pursuing creativity when covid hit, moved in with my parents, and became quite unconnected with my desire. The world appeared to be grey. But meeting this person made the world technicolour again. Even if it was painful, it broke me out of my slumber and made me fight for what I wanted again.
